Think Your Dog Won't Behave During A Photo Session?
Think your dog won't behave during a photo session? Dog behavior during the shoot is always a concern for owners. Some keys to a successful session are the in-person consultation and an experienced dog handler.
For sessions in my studio, bringing a dog into a new place is often overwhelming. They are afraid because they don't know what to expect. They are curious because it is a new location. I've overcome these feelings with an in-person consultation with you and your dog.
The meeting at my studio has proven to be invaluable towards the success of a portrait session. It allows me to get to know the owner and what their wants and needs are and allows me to meet the dog. The dog gets to explore and sniff around so when they return for their session, they are over all the anxiety that comes with being in a new environment.
Experienced Dog Handler
When possible, I use experienced dog handlers as assistants. An experienced dog handler can recognize signs of stress and anticipate the dog behavior. Often I have more concerns with owners than the dogs. Dogs can pick up any stress or frustration from their owners, so it is just as important that they keep their cool too.
So, if you think your dog is too wild and crazy to sit still for a photo shoot remember, I've had experience and training. I have lots of tricks up my sleeve for getting their attention so I can get THE SHOT! Don't let that keep you from booking your session today. I guarantee you won't regret having a beautiful portrait of your best friend, your fur baby on display in your home.
